Writing Center

I never went to the writing center this semester. I am not going to lie about it or just not do this post. For this one I am going to write about the first one I went to. In the meeting I focused on my literary analysis. For that one I was a bit confused how we were supposed to write it but I later understood. I went and read it out loud to a writing fellow. She helped me know a few things of what to fix and she said it was really good.  That really good got me a 74, so know I know that there was more to fix more to change.

Writing Goals

My writing goals for next year are to do more writing on my own. Being an only child can be boring and sometimes have no one to talk to, so writing could help. I want to more fun writings that show passion. Another goal is that when it comes to papers is to pace myself and try not to get too bored towards the end of the writing process of a paper. Maybe listen to music to help but I might find something. Just my main goal is to free write more on my own.

Needs Work

An area that I need to work on is writing papers. I can never the hang of writing a good paper. Papers are hard to me because I never enjoy writing them. I need to work on getting a schedule or something to help me work on a paper. Another thing with papers is that we work on them for so long that I get bored with it and I get distracted. We work on papers for weeks which can be beneficial and can cause boredom in the writing. The longer the less willing I am to put in effort. I need to find something to help me with that and hope I will find something.

Strengths as a Writer

My strengths are shown in my passionate writing. My strength is when I am writing about something familiar. My strengths are trying to develop a larger meaning to the story or what I am writing about. Some of my writings a about me or opinionated so I use "I" like this whole writing. I am trying to not use I in my other writings. The writings and papers taught me a lot like how to use citation and how to write a personal narrative, literary analysis, and a research paper.

Learning Writer

I am still a learning writer. I will always be a learning writer. Doing this blog post made me relive that I like to type my thoughts out when it helps me or is enjoy able. I always thought I hated writing due to that I had only written school paper which are my down fall in school. Since doing the blog post I have seen the joy in wanting to write. I learned the joy in it. The way I found the joy was through making stories that are new and could interest others. Writing something that people can enjoy is a great feeling.

Me as a writer

I do not always like to write. I hate writing papers and essays because they are writings I am forced to do or have no choice in weather I do it or not. I am someone who likes to write when they feel like it or if it is something I am passionate about. I like to make up stuff and just write. I am slowly working on a script that I am writing but I don't know were to go from the point that I am at. Writing can help me get my thoughts out of my head. When I am trouble about something I type about what is troubling me. I'm an only child so writing is my why of "talking" to someone sometimes. Even though I can hate it at times.
